BeinCrypto

BeInCrypto, a leading crypto news publisher, faced serious structural and strategic SEO issues despite a strong content pipeline. With cannibalized tags, outdated formats, and poor Discover visibility, the brand was struggling to unlock its full organic potential. Over a 12-month engagement (2022–2023), BeInCrypto underwent a complete newsroom transformation fixing indexation, enhancing editorial segmentation, and aligning with Google Discover signals. The result: a 190% increase in organic traffic, 1284 content pieces created, and consistent Discover placements in a fiercely competitive vertical.

Challenges

BeInCrypto struggled with internal duplication and poor indexability. Similar headlines, repeated tag structures, and inconsistent metadata led to content cannibalization. The lack of a canonical system and index bloat from old posts further slowed crawl efficiency. At the same time, Google Discover traffic was minimal due to poor formatting, missing schema, and thin entity usage. The absence of clearly defined content types made it difficult for both readers and algorithms to differentiate between quick news hits, opinion pieces, and long-form analysis.

Objectives

The campaign aimed to build a sustainable content strategy across three editorial verticals news, analysis, and opinion. While cleaning up duplication and improving index health. Launching dedicated content categories, improving real-time publishing workflows, and boosting Google Discover visibility were key pillars. Another major goal was to increase topical authority around high-impact narratives such as Bitcoin ETFs, altcoin surges, and crypto regulations.

Strategy

BeInCrypto introduced clear segmentation across Breaking News, Technical Analysis, and Opinion & Editorials. Each format was assigned structured layouts, unique metadata, and targeted schema to enable stronger indexing and clearer topical signals. Cannibalized tag pages and outdated posts were either consolidated or removed. Content was internally linked to cornerstone pages to support authority-building and improve crawl paths.

The SEO team conducted a full audit and resolved overlapping URL structures, metadata conflicts, and tag duplication. Canonical tags were implemented sitewide, while low-value or outdated content was noindexed. The sitemap hierarchy was restructured, and mobile templates were optimized for AMP and Discover compatibility. These changes resulted in cleaner indexation and faster inclusion in search results.

BeInCrypto overhauled its publishing cadence and structured its content around entity-rich narratives. Editors focused on fast-trending stories tied to major crypto movements and regulatory shifts. Schema markup and structured data were added to all qualifying posts, increasing eligibility for Discover and rich snippets. Frequent publishing of thought-leadership content helped build author authority and user engagement.
